Ingredients

For this deliciously simple Caramel Apple Puff Pastry, you'll need:
1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed (Pepperidge Farm or Dufour work exceptionally well)
3 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Gala offer the perfect balance of sweetness and structure)
1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce (choose premium caramel for richer flavor)

Method

Prepare: Heat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Apples: Core and slice apples into thin, even slices (about ⅛ inch thick). Optional: toss with cinnamon and lemon juice.
Prepare Pastry: Unfold thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. For individual servings, cut into squares, or keep whole for a large tart.
Assemble: Arrange apple slices on pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Drizzle with 3-4 tablespoons of caramel sauce.
Bake: Optional: brush exposed pastry edges with beaten egg. Bake for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with additional warm caramel sauce before serving.
