Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 oz
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • - ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • - 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • - 3 cloves garlic minced (about 1 tablespoon)
  • - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • - Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Optional Substitutions:
  • - Puff pastry sheets instead of crescent rolls
  • - Cheddar provolone, or fontina cheese
  • - 2 tsp dried parsley instead of fresh
  • - 1 tsp garlic powder instead of fresh garlic
  • - Rosemary or thyme instead of Italian seasoning

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, 1 tbsp parsley, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Gently stretch each triangle.
  4. Brush each triangle with garlic butter mixture (reserve half for topping). Sprinkle 2 tbsp mozzarella and 1 tsp Parmesan on each.
  5. Roll up from the wide end to the tip and place on baking sheet, seam-side down. Leave 2 inches between each.
  6. Brush tops with remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan, and bake 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, cool 2–3 minutes, sprinkle with remaining parsley, and serve warm with marinara for dipping.
